ACS Omega ’s Journal Impact Factor™ increased to 3.512, outpacing its closest competitor, RSC Advances , and the open access journal had over 23,000 citations, more than double the previous year.

The impact factor is beneficial, but when it comes to quality, then the use of the impact factor is not right. According to the database of the year 2017, the journal citation reports, tracked the impact factor for nearly 12, 298 journals.
