Here is sK1 - it is free & open-source vector editor with CMYK/spot colors support, mostly CorelDraw/Adobe Illustrator alternative. Inkscape is free, and garbage imo (same with gimp), you could look into Affinity Designer. +1 for Affinity Designer. You won't want to go back to Inkscape anymore. Thanks for the suggestions!

If you are a student, then Adobe does offer student pricing on CC licenses: $20/month for all CC apps. It's not as good as free, but it's otherwise a pretty good deal. 2. level 1. As long as you dont want to print, Inkscape is a great program with some minor flaws. It has a lot of effects, called Live Path Effect (LPE). Affinity Designer is a very well designed alternative with a nice price, but lacks effects like Blend and (real) vector brushes (as in AI), live trace or repeating patterns.

Inkscape is a free alternative to Illustrator. Gimp is an open source image editor, similar to photoshop/illustrator. If you've used either program before, the buttons and options should be somewhat familiar although slightly different. Thanks, I had tried it years ago and didn't get on with it.
