Aug 29, 2017 · CS3 is over a decade old and the activation server was taken down last year. Not for any nefarious "we'll force them to buy into CC" reasoning though, it's simply old and probably not worth expending the resources to continue maintenance on the server.

Adobe ended the replacement program by removing links to activation-free installers and serial numbers. It is no longer possible to re-install CS3.

Even if you have the original installation disks that you received at purchase with a matching valid serial number, you cannot activate the software. The activation servers for CS3 and earlier went offline years ago. Sorry. Creative Suite is no longer legally sold by any vendor, retailer or in country. Adobe support cannot help you.
