28.08.2017 · Adobe has made an offline-activated version of the software to download that is identical in every way, except for the activation method. If you have a valid CS3 activation code, there's nothing stopping you from using the software. I'm very surprised Windows hasn't killed everything that old though.

Adobe ended the replacement program by removing links to activation-free installers and serial numbers. It is no longer possible to re-install CS3.

Jul 12, 2013 · Adobe Photoshop CS3 was prompting for the 'activate' but none of the options worked. Used adobe chat support and provided them with a screen shot of the settings that appear when you choose manual mode (note: this only appears after you attempt to connect automatically and it fails).

Aug 29, 2017 · CS3 is over a decade old and the activation server was taken down last year. Not for any nefarious "we'll force them to buy into CC" reasoning though, it's simply old and probably not worth expending the resources to continue maintenance on the server.

Now start Photoshop CS3 and with any luck you'll be prompted to enter the new serial number. Opt to never register, close Photoshop, restart the computer and fire up Photoshop CS3 there's a good chance it will now work.

Even if you have the original installation disks that you received at purchase with a matching valid serial number, you cannot activate the software. The activation servers for CS3 and earlier went offline years ago. Sorry. Creative Suite is no longer legally sold by any vendor, retailer or in country. Adobe support cannot help you.
