Agroecology is an approach that takes into account natural ecosystems and uses local knowledge to plant a diversity of crops that boost the sustainability of the farming system as a whole (Moore, 2016 ). It helps to deliver contextualized solutions to global issues. There is a need for contextual solutions to address food losses.
