But you need to know the following just as a tip: - The so called mage classes are divided in Frost staffs, fire Staffs, Arcade (more defensive), Necromancy and healer. - Not all of these classes require cloth Armour, so make sure you read the abilities before going in blind.

Most mages I know run with the ice staff or the fire staff. Fire has slightly more dps and the ice staff slows and roots with a good bit of damage. Myself, I run with the Greater Frost Staff. As for builds, I am no expert there, but I run with Cleric cloth helm, Mage cloth armor, and Assassin or Mercenary leather boots. Best of luck.
