I enjoyed spears...kinda similar to axes in terms of clearspeed, but with good Options for solo and smallscale combat - more movementspeed and attackspeed then axes, and has a more or less cheap "oneshot" build with pike which can be useful for 2on2 hellgates (which would be a very good way for both of you to farm fame and silver, but you will Encounter 2on2 pvp in there).
