Jan 26, 2019 · The expeditions are getting quite boring, I'm running T8.2 Royal/Great cursed staff, with app. 1400 IP. I'm wanting to get my feet wet doing HCE's, but don't want to hold the group back. I'd be fine starting with maps 1-5. Would I be needing skip set? Can I wear my best gear without having to worry about pvp etc.? Any other requirements?

Item Power, often shortened to IP, is a value assigned to gear pieces, such as armor, weapons and accessories, to measure their strength. An increase in item power will improve most (all?) of an item's flat bonuses, though percentage bonuses are unaffected.

Mastery Modifiers grant an additional percentage to you IP for items T5 up to T8. This encourages use of higher tier items when you have obtained specialization in them. e.g. +100 IP from 50/100 specialization while using a T4 item vs +120 IP while using the same T8 item.

It's not really tier that is the measurement for HCE's. Although the numbers are scuffed, Item Power is used for measurement if you are viable or not. Right not Lvl 6 and up is mostly 1350 IP and upwards. The higher you average item power is, the most likely you are to get invited.

They are a cheap way to learn the maps and pulls, plus you will level the map up increasing its value and earning the group a reward. Once you start looking at mid tier hces you'll want 1200+.
