Not good, but the usual ALT-F2 got me a text console. A quick search of the Manjaro Wiki brought up the page describing how to configure graphics cards.

Why don't you simply try out AMDGPU for comparison? While the posters here have been giving you generic instructions on how to install it, it is actually very trivial in Manjaro. Install the package amdgpu-experimental (or possibly mhwd-db-amdgpu-experimental) and then just switch to this driver in Hardware Configuration.
