19.11.2016 · Getting the AMD RX 470 GPU to work. The main issue I ran into when booting from the Manjaro Linux 16.10.2 live disk was a distinct lack of GUI and instead staring at a blank monitor. Not good, but the usual ALT-F2 got me a text console. A quick search of the Manjaro Wiki brought up the page describing how to configure graphics cards.

Your card has EXPERIMENTAL amdgpu support only. easiest way is to remove all modifications you made on your own, then install the package mhwd-addon-amdgfx-hwe with sudo pacman -S mhwd-addon-amdgfx-hwe and then go to the MHWD settings in your system settings and install the amdgpu package from there level 2 monsieur_vee 0 points · 3 years ago

Why don't you simply try out AMDGPU for comparison? While the posters here have been giving you generic instructions on how to install it, it is actually very trivial in Manjaro. Install the package amdgpu-experimental (or possibly mhwd-db-amdgpu-experimental) and then just switch to this driver in Hardware Configuration.
