This problem actually occurs in previous versions, when you try to take a snapshot on the VMware console using the quiesc option.

Jan 27, 2018 · Meant to say, shut down does not help. Also I can take a normal snapshot of the server without issue. It's just the quiescing snapshot that isn't working and the ArcServe software uses the quiescing method for tape backup.
