07.04.2021 · In the vSphere Client, re-add the hard disk back to the virtual machine using the SCSI controller type from step one. On the ESXi host command line interface, edit the descriptor file (.vmdk) and remove or comment out any references that specify use of a ctk file.; Power on the virtual machine.
27.04.2020 · Thankfully there’s a quick fix for this, open Regedit, create a key of: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication\SureBackup if it doesn’t already exist and within there we will create a new DWORD, this is to be called “UseVhvEnable” and needs to be set to a value of 0.
