18.10.2016 · After that, i mounted partitions, installed "base base-devel" and "grub", with relative config file. So, after rebooting the computer, after selecting "Arch Linux" from grub menu, the screen become black and I can't view anything. If it can help, the GPU is not the integrated, but dedicated. Could it be caused by that? What can I do? Thanks

Then try logging in with your regular credentials or root if you have the root ... Whenever I boot into my Arch Linux system, it gives me a black screen.

20.10.2021 · after booting from grub i get a black screen and doesnt go to the gnome login screen. i can still press ctrl alt f3 to get to the terminal screen. i think this has to do with drivers because i installed a new driver for my nvidia graphics card and now this happened. 19.05.2020 · Trying to install Archlinux on my laptop, I get a black screen after I pick Arch Linux archiso x86_64 UEFI CD and hitting Enter on the boot menu. I waited for about 10 minutes and the black screen persists. I also tried hitting e and appending nomodeset or nomodeset i915.modeset=0 to the boot line before hitting Enter, yet the black screen persists.

Use the journal to show messages for a boot with the issue without the nvidia module being black listed.
