22.08.2016 · I'm having a problem with connecting to my university's internet via ethernet. I had to register my device with it's MAC address and it assigned an IP address to me (10.41.72.65). However, when I use dhcpcd to set up my connection, I can't ping/connect to any sites or IP addresses besides internal ones as it just drops all the packets.
Apr 17, 2020 · I installed arch linux and while doing it everything was great and awesome. I could connect to the internet and download whatever package I wanted. But after installing and rebooting I didn't have any package e.g. wifi-menu, dhcpcd, iw and netctl, so I can't connect to the internet.

EDIT: Wierd, after plugging in a lan cable, while the usb drive was connected the usb drive is able to connect to the internet, even after the lan cable was unplugged.
