No wifi After Installation. Hi all, It looks like the arch iso doesn't ship with wifi-menu anymore and we should use iwd now. There is a note in the updated install guide that says "in the installation image systemd-networkd, systemd-resolved and iwd are pre-configured and enabled by default. That will not be the case for the installed system.".

Refering to a post in another forum: wifi-menu is a part of the netcfg package. If you did not install it, you won't have it available.

Can't connect to wifi when installing. Trying to install arch linux and I'm following the guide but when I get to the wifi part entering device list in iwctl shows that wlan0 is powered off so when I use station wlan0 scan it says no station on device wlan0.

Even after installing dialog (pacstrap /mnt dialog) I still can't use wifi-menu after installation. There's no ping. I'm new and I messed up cause currently there's no OS in my laptop and I want to install arch (been trying for 2 days)

17.04.2020 · Wifi-menu, dhcpcd, netctl etc. are preinstalled on the Arch-Live-CD. In order to have them after booting into your system, you have to install them first. What you should do: Boot into your Live-CD and arch-chroot into your system. From there you can install wifi-menu, dhcpcd, netctl and dialog.

From there you can install wifi-menu, dhcpcd, netctl and dialog. Then reboot into your system and you should be able to connect to a wifi-network.

20.05.2020 · After years of Hope-Springs-Eternal with Windows, the speed Linux connects a new install to wi-fi was so good, it seemed suspicious at first. Never had to do anything beyond entering pwds; no CLI stuff at all.
