At least for Arch, you have two types of configuration: via console and Xorg. The easiest way without configuring Xorg: $ sudo setxkbmap -layout us. You can see the current configuration with this: $ setxkbmap -print -verbose 10 $ localectl status. To list all the available key maps or layouts: $ localectl list-keymaps. Share.

Jan 16, 2007 · the "no" keymap doesn't put the ø on the key next to the p. The other keymap DOES. However, I had to load the Swedish/Finnish latin6 keymap before it. I'm not sure why, and I'll look into why tommorrow. Alternately, the Danish keymaps worked nicely with the alt-gr key.
