b43 and b43legacy. These drivers are included as modules in Debian kernel images. Firmware from userspace is required for device operation.

The b43/b43legacy driver is not meant to support such a device. It is possible to use only one driver at a moment, they are conflicting each other. 12.03.2021 · I just installed Arcolinux Mate on a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop with broadcom B4321. All works great but I have to load B43 module after each reboot. Ran mkinitcpio -v shows possibly missing firmware for b43 module but pacman Qi shows it is installed. I added b43 to the "modules" section of mkinitcpio w/o success.
