Used to use only podcast addict, but I started having so many problems. Audio randomly pausing constantly, app randomly closing (battery optimization was turned off). It could be my phone or an android bug, but I use podcast republic now, 10x faster than podcast addict at least on my phone.

I personally think Pocket Casts is ultimately the best Podcast app on Android, albeit I'm looking at it from a lifetime member perspective. I tried Podcast Addict recently and while admittedly it has a ton of great options - The whole setup seems a little more convoluted compared to Pocket Casts' and a few more steps need to be taken to do things that Pocket Casts can do quicker.
