It reached over 30 billion views and is the second most watched drama in China! Nirvana in Fire (琅琊榜) is a wuxia drama with little to no fantasy elements. There really isn’t any fantasy elements but some scenes require a suspension of disbelief. This is one of the most critically-acclaimed dramas in recent years and for good reason.
It’s a cultivation type of wuxia/xianxia show with a really lighthearted comedic tone. Just don’t take it too seriously because the humour level can be a bit quirky, so definitely go in with an open mind!
