EDIT: So far the consensus is that the Bose 700 is useless as a desktop headset with both microphone and audio. I managed to get it working briefly with a bluetooth 4.0 usb dongle but it quickly broke down again. First audio distortions then audio driver crashes and afterwards the headset refused to pair again.
