24.02.2022 · Whilst I accept that technology needs to move forward, the options being presented by BT are extremely limiting, and this Digital Voice service is going to cause a lot of headaches for those who have no idea how it all works. What are my options in regards to staying on my own modem/router, but being able to use the digital voice service? Cheers.

Re: Digital voice (FTTP new install) - can dial out but not receive calls. I too have had a similar problem since switching to BT, the digital voice allows outbound calls but no inbound. I checked all the settings within Digital Voice to ensure that there are no blocks or call diversions in place via the BT Call Protect & CNF settings page.

Jun 10, 2021 · The PSTN network is closing down, so customers are being migrated to BT Digital voice. You can plug existing phones into the phone socket of the Smart Hub 2, or link that socket to your internal phone wiring, so there is no need for any adapters, just a connecting cord like this. Power is provided from the Smart Hub 2 phone socket.
