CAAHEP CoAs are well represented at the ASPA - Association of Specialized and Professional Accreditors Spring Conference in Chicago! @ASPA_USA.

The Board has asked all CAAHEP CoAs to work with their respective Boards of Directors and explore opportunities and modifications to ensure students enrolled in our 2200 programs nation-wide can be successful.

However, CAAHEP, its CoAs, and programs have risen to the challenge and been creative, innovative, and embraced change to ensure the best outcomes possible with the pandemic. CAAHEP Policy Section 602. Complaints Regarding CAAHEP, CoAs and Accredited Programs. CAAHEP and its CoAs follow due process procedures when written and signed complaints are received by the Commission or a CoA alleging that they or an accredited program are not following established Commission policies or accreditation Standards.

Once accredited by CAAHEP, a program will be charged an annual institutional fee (currently $550). This fee is for the institution and is NOT based on the number of CAAHEP accredited programs an institution has. However, CAAHEP has partners in the accreditation process, the CoAs. Each of the CoAs has its own set of fees.

CAAHEP requires that its accreditation procedures, and those of the CoAs, be sensitive to the need to maintain confidentiality in the accreditation process while also disclosing certain information to serve and protect the public interest.

CAAHEP is composed of a Commission that meets annually that includes all the professional societies that sponsor CoAs, all the CoAs, and some representatives of higher education and of the public. The Commission elects a Board from among its members that meets 6 times annually (January, March, May, July, September, and November).

CAAHEP and its CoAs follow due process procedures when written and signed complaints are received by the Commission or a CoA alleging that they or an accredited program are not following established Commission policies or accreditation Standards.
