06.06.2018 · I created one more NIC when was changing IP on ESXi hosts (the new one is 10.20.43.10). With ESXi everything is fine, they correctly reconnected to Vcenter but when I change IP on vCenter I cannot log in to it using vSphere Client(message: Cannot complete login due to incorrect login or password).

Click Apply Once complete, re-enable the VMware vSphere Update Manager Plug-In and you should receive the trusted Security Warning dialogue box. Which means vCenter and VUM can talk, everyone’s a winner!

Jan 16, 2013 · One of the servers has a VMWare vCenter Server Appliance 5.1..5200 build 880472 running 64 bit Suse Linux. It was working fine yesterday. Today, I can ping it by IP address and by FQDN. If I use the vsphere client to connect to the ESX host its running on I can see it running, and I can look at it via the console. Ive verified the IP addresses.

To change the IP address of the appliance, verify that the system name of the appliance is an FQDN. If, during the deployment of the appliance, you set an IP address as a system name, you cannot change the IP address after the deployment. The system name is always used as a primary network identifier.
