If you want a low stress vacation spot Cloudcroft is the place, and the Spruce Cabins are an excellent lodging choice. The unit we stayed in was more like a duplex, but if felt like and was designed like a one room cabin. The location was convenient to Burro Street shopping and the few restaurants in Cloudcroft.

Cloudcroft only about 7 miles away. Absolutely quiet as there is no traffic noise. It is an adults only park. There are only 15 sites. Sites are eyebrow type along the one road and very close together. Our site was a little unlevel but nothing the jacks could not handle. We saw one long coach with multiple boards under their front wheels.

I've lived in California, Mexico, Spain, Miami ,Fl and in a couple cities in New Mexico and now I've lived in Cloudcroft, NM for almost one year now.

We visited ski Cloudcroft after driving to Ski Apache, sitting in line for an hour an a half only to be told they had no ski lessons available AND they were out of several boot sizes. It was super frustrating. Anyhow we came over to Ski Cloudcroft, they were amazingly helpful and super attentive. My husband and kids had never ski’d or snowboarded.
