12.08.2018 · Both Google and CloudFlare public DNS are forwarding servers that gather information from name servers that are responsible for some particular zone. Instead of using hard-coded IP address you better have to use in such cases one of official name servers that serves duckdns.org zone, which are: ns1.duckdns.org ns2.duckdns.org ns3.duckdns.org.

As a quick fix: Open the cloudflare dashboard, go to "SSL/TLS" and set the encryption mode to "Full (strict)". This might work. If I were you I would ditch duckdns and simply go with something like ddclient to update your IP in cloudflare. Create A records with 8.8.8.8 as placeholders so ddclient updates your IP automatically.
