I cant decide if I should get an TCL R646 for $699, a Sony X90CJ from Costco w/ 5 year warranty for $999, or a Hisense U8G for $749. I have seen that the 55" U8G is still experiencing issues that have been fixed on the 65" version.
I purchased a U8G over Black Friday through Amazon and wanted to register the TV under the promotion. There even a big picture on the listing on Amazon of the promotion. I submitted all the information and invoice through Hisense’s website and was denied due to the TV being fulfilled by a marketplace seller.

Thanks for your interest in Hisense TVs. It's a 2021 model that was brought in fairly recently, depending on the screen size. Take a look at reviews for the R61G and the R62G and know that the processor has been upgraded slightly and the panels have ever-so-slightly-more bells and whistles in terms of HDR image processing technologies.

The corners are noticeably darker than the center of the screen, and there are three dark vertical bands near the center of the screen. Pass. This garbage is unacceptable, period.

$950 for a 55" U8G or $1300 for a 65" seems like a great deal on paper. And I'm sure it is until you start running into these kinds of problems and have zero recourse if you are out of your store return period. At that point you had a few great months with a new set which turns into a giant paper weight. Be very careful buying a Hisense TV.
Costco has these 4 at 1200$ : -Sony 65 X85J -Hisense 65 U78G -LG 65 Nano85 -Samsung 65 Q60A. Bestbuy has this one at 1300$. -TCL 65 R646-CA. According to Rting the TCL and Hisense are the best in this selection. Costco offer 2 years warranty which is a big plus to me.
