Jan 26, 2019 · @Blade, the answer to your question won't be static. But this page suggests that the current nightly build is built against CUDA 10.2 (but one can install a CUDA 11.3 version etc.). Moreover, the previous versions page also has instructions on installing for specific versions of CUDA. –
12.09.2020 · You can fix this error by adding num_workers=0 parameter to the ImageDataLoaders call. The next error I hit was CUDA out of memory – You can fix this by adding the bs=16 parameter (fine tune for your environment to optimize for speed without crashing – for me 64 hit OOM, 32 crashed the GPU and 16 balanced speed vs stability).

23.04.2019 · Cuda out of memory error occurs because your model is larger than the gpu memory. Big networks like resnet won’t fit into 2gb memory. The bs= option is in the process of making the dataloader. In the above case it is during creating data= using ImageClassifierData. Best is to use google colab if you need access to free gpu. 1 Like

Jan 26, 2019 · If you want to skip reading the guide, fastai-1.0.42 or higher has a built-in workaround just for the CUDA Out of Memory, so if you update your fastai install, chances are you’re already taken care of.
