OpenWRT 18.06.1 is not working on RPi 3B+ due to a problem with the GPU (which is responsible for the boot process). Support for the RPi 3B+ is available in the snapshot versions, and will probably land in stable at 18.06.2. Everything works fine on the RPi 3B (non plus).

True that routers come with plenty of Ethernet connections but things like the PI come with an ever growing choice of operating systems, add ons and plenty of oomph. I just thought it would be a cool route into the Raspberry PI for dd-wrt users. The one armed router is a good idea.

28.05.2017 · DD-WRT's methods of upgrade in general (web browser, TFTP) will work fine on a RasPi. Unless your router has a really weird binary-only client of some sort (that happens to be available for Win/Mac/Lin), you'll be fine. I don't have any experience with Win 10 on a RasPi 3, but I imagine this will hold true here as well.
