I selected the Factory Restore option, it downloaded some firmware and rebooted. Now, I can't access the router at all.

Brainslayer builds into some of his firmware so that you can just select the Netgear firmware file and it will install. Others he might inclue a backto file and then others it is more of a good luck in my experience.
