Nov 03, 2017 · I can't find the firmware for my WRT160N v1 (BCM4704, 4MB flash, 16MB RAM) on the ftp server. There is only a directory for the much different WRT160NL. I currently run "DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/07/10) vpn - build 14896", however, in the router database it shows the same build but with date "2017-09-07".

08.01.2022 · I eventually recovered it via the ASUSTEK Web CFE recovery mechanism and I now on : DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/22/14) version. One post I saw mentioned that you get the Web CFE when you have the wrong firmware, in order to avoid bricking. Big advice on ddwrt wiki is to know which firmware to use.
