Throughout the Lincoln National Forest you are allowed to do what is called 'dispersed camping'. This is a rustic experience where you are allowed to drive up to 300' off of an open public road onto USFS lands to park and camp. No permits are needed for such activity and no cost is associated with this camping experience.

14.10.2020 · Beautiful Dispersed Camping. My husband and 3 year old daughter spent 2 nights tent camping at Bluff Springs this weekend. Beautiful, relaxing site for dispersed camping. There were plenty of spots available right off the road, and near the waterfall and little creek that runs from it, but we drove farther in and found a nice little private spot.
