Although this feature is available from mid-2016, it’s quite surprising to still see many Docker images not using it. A custom health check is specified in a Dockerfile using the HEALTHCHECK directive.

If I access my VPS (a DigitalOcean droplet) via SSH and run docker ps I see that a container is stuck in a status of (healthy: starting). That's my clojure app.
