Recently (a few weeks ago), I've noticed that DuckDuckGo started censoring adult searches even with Safe Search turned to Off. Changing location doesn't affect the results. I even used DuckDuckGo through Tor and the results (or lack of them) were still the same, so there is no regional filter at play. Worryingly, this started happening at about the same time Google started censoring many adult searches that previously held results.

According to reports, surveys and feed backs, DuckDuckGo does not censor search results. There are many factors that enter in to the search results that you receive which include available content, search terms provided, effective use of SEO, etc. Personally I don’t use DDG as default but sometime I do use.
