28.02.2015 · Thanks, but not needed. Earlier reply worked when I used it properly. I am using Bing as my home page. If I search from Bing's search box I get Bing's results (surprise-surprise). If I search from the web address box, then I get DuckDuckGo results.

DuckDuckGo search’s are block on my schools WiFi, so at school I have started using the Brave browser though google search, but I do not like doing that. Is there anyway to get around this. I ran my test on the open source platform ooni probe, where it flagged it as blocked.

DuckDuckGo is legal and even goes above and beyond in some cases. Countries like Switzerland have very strict privacy laws. They are able to meet a strict standard because they do not collect information about its users. But just because it is legal does not mean that some places will not block it. Some places could cause DuckDuckGo to be blocked.
