pihole is a royal pain in the ass to setup if you are switching IP addresses. Get the pihole box on the subnet where it is supposed to be (it will grab an IP via DHCP), and then start the pihole configuration. On Edgerouter, I initially configured the DHCP which operates on switch0 (and eth2, eth3 and eth4) to use 192.168.10.1.

I was under the impression it could be possible to still sent/forward te client IP (like for instance my ChromeCast, it does so again when I disable these 2 dns redirect's).
