Elasticsearch documents are described as schema-less because Elasticsearch does not require us to pre-define the index field structure, nor does it require all documents in an index to have the same structure. However, once a field is mapped to a given data type, then all documents in the index must maintain that same mapping type.
Lucene uses a byte buffer internally that uses 32bit integers for addressing. By definition this limits the size of the documents. So 2GB is max in theory.

The from parameter defines the offset from the first result you want to fetch. The size parameter allows you to configure the maximum amount of hits to be returned. Though from and size can be set as request parameters, they can also be set within the search body. from defaults to 0, and size defaults to 10.
In ElasticSearch: There is a max http request size in the ES GitHub code, and it is set against Integer.MAX_VALUE or 2^31-1. So, basically, 2GB is the maximum document size for bulk indexing over HTTP. And also to add to it, ES does not process an HTTP request until it completes.
But if my query has the size of 650,000 Documents for example or even more, how can I retrieve all of the results in one GET? I have been reading about the SCROLL, FROM-TO, and the PAGINATION API, but all of them never deliver more than 10K.
