I rebooted the host and the VM's migrated successfully to the other two hosts in the cluster, but the host with the problem showed all the VM's in its inventory as numbers, not the original names of the VM's.

I this case you must remove the host (this will delete the host, and the VM in the VC database), re-add this again, browse the datastore and finally add the VMs to the inventory. 0 Kudos.

These two VM's have the (PTcFhDt) next to their name and when I look in the datastore the folder for the VM is also named this way and so are many of the files including the .vmdk files with this (PTcFhDt) in the name.
