Flatpak is pretty good and has real potential. It is perhaps 3 to 5 years away from being "the way" to distribute apps on Linux. Snap is shite. If you are on Arch (which you are because you keep mentioning Pacman) the benefits are kind of the opposite of other distros.

I have read some discussions about AUR vs Flatpak here and in some Telegram groups, and i noticed some comments saying that there are some proprietary stuff that goes well with Flatpak because even through AUR it won't be able to use the latest versions of some programs.
