Present Perfect 4 – with yet, already, just, recently and lately. We use the present perfect with the adverbs already, just, yet, recently and lately. The action itself is finished but only a short time ago and the effects can still be seen or felt. We use yet in the question and in a negative sentence and it is always at the end of the sentence.

However, 'recently' can be used for a single event in the simple past, whereas 'lately' can't. "He broke his arm recently" is correct, but "He broke his arm lately" is not correct.
