06.05.2014 · So my guess is your pool that is encrypted also acts as your syslog location, so you could unmount it after you stop the services that are using the pool. I'm a bit busy right now so I can't help you much more, but hopefully I've pointed you in a direction to go. The passphrase is cleared from RAM within a fraction of a second of mounting the pool.
