what are your thoughts on DD WRT or Open WRT OpenWRT is just Gargoyle minus the interface. Or to say it more correctly.. Gargoyle is simply an interface built on the top of OpenWRT.

A few extra features DD-WRT supports include Wake on LAN for remote PC access and QoS (quality of service) built in. The latter helps better manage network traffic. There are special instructions for this router on the gargoyle website. It looks pretty important that they are followed. The CFE has already been flashed over due to it coming preinstalled with dd-wrt.. so it is effectively a WRT54GS. Note the special instructions are the same as for dd-wrt.. and only when flashing from linksys firmware.

Aug 08, 2012 · Gargoyle is more user friendly while DD-wrt give you more control over the hardware. You can adjust things such ACK time etc While bandwidth graphs and QOS are excellent feature on Gargoyle.
