By default, the configuration file is located at /usr/local/etc/grafana/grafana.ini. For a Grafana instance installed using Homebrew, edit the grafana.ini file directly. 18.06.2018 · I checked, and the default grafana.ini did not have any relevant config that I would lose, so I changed the line to point to my custom.ini, and lo and behold, it had workedth. IMPORTANT: This works on deb installations (like debian or ubuntu), so one would need to check it on rpm installations too.
