Just backup your whole config folder including .storage. I didn't know if this would have any issues with any temp files or the database being in a weird state at time of backup. My docker config volume is on my NAS (so is the container itself) so I just backup that folder like any other directory on the NAS.

You do not need to backup Docker containers. Just backup the directory on the host that is mounted in a volume on your Docker container.
