07.03.2017 · I have several home built NAS and tried OMV on a Pi with mirrored disks. Didn’t work well at all. You can run a NAS off a Pi for file sharing but I think every geek I ever ran into once they figured out they could run media servers and stuff off of NAS they usually do.

Remark: To update your Home Assistant on your Docker within Qnap NAS, you just remove container and image and do steps again (Don’t remove “config” folder). If you want to use a USB Bluetooth adapter or Z-Wave USB stick with Home Assistant on Qnap Docker, follow those steps: Z-Wave. Connect to your NAS over SSH

Launch Docker-app and move to “Registry”-section Find “homeassistant/home-assistant” within registry and click on “Download”. Choose the “stable” tag. Wait for some time until your NAS has pulled the image Move to the “Image”-section of the Docker-app Click on “Launch” Choose a container-name you want (e.g., “homeassistant”)

Mar 07, 2017 · I am looking to setup a NAS so that I have a common place to save images acquired by my security cameras etc. I found a couple of guides for setting up a Pi as a NAS (network attached storage). I want to do this on the Pi I use to run HA, but I don’t want a solution which interrupts HA. What have people tried and recommend? Cheers
