20.05.2007 · I know I can duplicate vmdk files using the vmkfstools -i option but I would like to be able to copy the files to/from a Windows pc or server in order to have offline backups of these. When I use WinSCP to copy the files from the ESX 3.0 server and back to a new folder, when I try to use the copied disk it will not open it as it says it's not a valid virtual disk.
