The aim of the FCH JU is to accelerate the development of fuel cells and hydrogen technologies in Europe, enabling their commercialisation between 2010 and 2020. For this initiative the JRC develops methods and facilities for measuring and assessing the performance of hydrogen storage technologies, hydrogen detection techniques and fuel cell systems.
