Host only has a single VM, and memory is not allocated as dynamic memory. The VM is a AD/DHCP/DNS, File/Print and backups. Memory climbs to about 9GB and does not drop. Total memory assigned is about 12GB.

For every IO issued by svhdxflt, VHDMP believes that there is an Activity ID. VHDMP enables this Activity ID tracing which results in the unnecessary nonpaged pool memory usage. Note For the shared .vhdx of the Cluster Shared Volume (CSV), the memory leak may occur on the Hyper-V server that hosts the Virtual Machine (VM).
03.06.2016 · By default, the maximum Dynamic Memory value for every virtual machine is 1 terabyte. In theory, this is perfectly safe. Hyper-V will never allocate any more memory to a guest than the host can spare. In practice, this is very dangerous. While most things will work fine, there is a very nasty little issue called the “memory leak”.

16.09.2020 · On a VMWare or Hyper-V system, the hypervisor can take memory away from one VM and give it to another VM. It does this by using a driver loaded in the VM to "lock" the memory at the kernel level which can then be given to another VM. If too much memory is taken away, this will cause working set trimming and general performance issues.
