integrating implicit functions - The Student Room
https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=869682
When you differentiate an implicit function, you are differentiating each term with respect to a rate of change to another variable. When integrating an explicit function, the function itself is a rate of change of its area, so when you have an implicit function and you integrate it you might mess things up. Though im not sure. 0. scott8anthony.

Implicit differentiation can help us solve inverse functions. The general pattern is: Start with the inverse equation in explicit form. Example: y = sin −1 (x) Rewrite it in non-inverse mode: Example: x = sin(y) Differentiate this function with respect to x on both sides. Solve for dy/dx

Explicit and implicit methods - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Explicit_and_implicit_methods
Explicit and implicit methods are approaches used in numerical analysis for obtaining numerical approximations to the solutions of time-dependent ordinary and partial differential equations, as is required in computer simulations of physical processes. Explicit methods calculate the state of a system at a later time from the state of the system at the current time, while implicit methods find a solution by solving an equation involving both the current state of the system and the later one…

Integration methods can also be classified into implicit and explicit methods. Explicit methods are inexpensive per step but limited in stability and therefore not used in the field of circuit simulation to obtain a correct and stable solution.

Implicit integration is kind of like the topic in differential equations called exact differential equations. It’s pretty much tracing backwards from applying multivariable chain rule on a function of multiple variables. I’d say it’s the closest thing I’ve seen to a concept of “implicit integration”. Share.
Implicit Integration Scheme - an overview | ScienceDirect Topics

Many explicit and implicit integration schemes are available. Typical explicit schemes include the central difference methods, two-cycle iteration with trapezoidal rule, and the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method. The implicit schemes include the Wilson-θ method, the Newmark-β method, and high-order methods.
