26.11.2020 · @Lei6031 Hello, As far as I know, there is no need to open the port for the LAN server in IPv6 network as it will not work, there is an IPv6 firewall on the AX1500 router which blocks the external access to the server automatically to protect your internal network and ensure its security. Currently, there is no way to disable that firewall.

11.06.2012 · I agree, port forwarding is probably not the correct technology in the new ipv6 world. A router supporting IPV6 does need the capability to allow a port or range of ports to be opened to a specific ip or range of ip's. I just couldn't see where / if this is implemented in the WNDR4500.
