Albion is easily one (if not the single best) mmo on the market right now. The fact that this person claims the game is pay to win completely discredits his opinion of the game. I recommend you visit r/albiononline instead and ask there. Albion Online is a full-loot PvP game. So by design, you can't pay to win.

There is a lot of content, PvP small and big scale (even purely 1v1 soon in August), PvE many different dungeons, HCE, and solo dungeons, and a lot of crafting/gathering/refining.

Albion Online is by far the best game on the market right now, in my opinion.. but that's only if you enjoy open world PvP. No other games really scratches that itch for me. GW2 used to have really good open world PvP (wvw) before they messed up its classes with revenants, etc. But now Albion Online imo is king.

The most important thing to remember is that Albion Online is a sandbox, there is no narrative to follow, just mechanics to play around and there is way too much different contents to be able to do everything. In conclusion, try the game, explore the different contents, watch different opinions and make it yours.
Is Albion Online worth it? When I first saw this game a few years back I couldn't wait for it to come out expecting it to be free to play but we all know how it ended up. At time, I didn't want to buy the game since I was able to occupy myself with other games that were around, popular and fun at that same time but now I really need to find something new for myself.
Tbh it's great for a while and imo worth 30€ but most people get bored after few weeks/months. Also u can try it for free for 2 weeks, just ask some1 a trial key in their subreddit. It is good, but it is a full loot pvp game. You have to be comfortable with dying.
