Chromium-based browsers, however, are very good for security; Ungoogled Chromium makes it private. Binaries can lag behind the source code, but you can obviously compile it from source. Firefox has way more security issues, such as lack of a decent sandbox, especially on Linux where there is basically no sandbox, even to the rest of the OS.
One version comes with chrlauncher which is an easier way to keep Chromium updated. The site is pretty trustworthy and has a good reputation.
