In this study, a P-N synergistic flame retardant AG601-DOPO (A-D) was synthesized by the reaction of an epoxy resin (AG601) with 9,10-dihydro-9-oxo-10-phosphophenanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO). A-D was then mixed with BA-a in different ratios, heated, melted, poured and cured to obtain samples. These samples were tested and characterized.

29.10.2015 · Recently, I have submitted my manuscript to a peer reviewed journal (Wiley). It has been almost two weeks since the status is showing under consideration. Does it mean my manuscript has a chance to be sent for peer review? Can you just throw some light on the process? I am very new to research and this happens to be my first paper.

The UHMWPE fiber, which is coated by a bilayer structure with polydopamine (PDA) transition layer and 3-glycidyl ether oxy-propyl trimethoxy silane (GOPTS) hydrolysis-condensate strengthened layer, can efficiently disperse the stress on composites through the strong interfacial adhesion between the bilayer and fiber, and improves the flexural modulus of composites.
